What have people found work for SC2?

1-hatch queen ling rush.

Build overlord, pool, queen. Use queen to inject larvae as much as possible and rush the opponent with zerglings.

Edit: This is no longer working as most guys can now defend it.

Edit: What appears to be still working is the 7-pool ling rush: Build just 1 drone, wait until 200 mins then build a pool, when the pool is morphing build an Overlord and when the pool is finish, pump out the zerglings.

I've done a 11 ovie 15 hatch 14pool 2 extractor and drone up to queen you'll have 20 pop when pool+hatch pops so maybe an ovie before queen aswell (save some larva for lings if needed) then lair/or which ever tech i usually go lair all the time just to get overseer in order to scout for funky builds/rushes + it also lets me hide tech like a spire anywhere on the map i just send a drone and a ovie before hand then when lair finishes i drop creep and instantly build spire

I've found that the 13 pool 1 hatch fairly reliable. Usually this looks like:

  • 10 ovie
  • +1 bio
  • 13 pool
  • 15 extractor
  • 15 ovie

I've also found that 11 ovie actually sets my build back by 10 seconds fairly reliably (10 sec for same building/resources)

I also find you realy need to have your roach den go down asap. I will also usually push t2 before the den finishes
